Fixed inductors, also called chokes or reactors, are a component which stores energy in the form of a magnetic field. Unlike variable inductors, which can hold different amounts of energy by changing the size of the internal magnetic field, fixed inductors store the same amount of energy at a given size, making them ideal for use in a wide variety of electronic circuits. The IM06EBR25J is one such fixed inductor, designed for use in high frequency switching power supplies, such as those found in telecommunications and personal computers.

The IM06EBR25J is constructed of an iron-core bobbin, a copper coil, and two insulating materials.
