INA223EVM Application Field

INA223EVM Working Principle

The basic function of the INA223EVM is to measure the current and voltage of a DC power source. The INA223 device is used to sense the voltage across an on-board precision resistor, which acts as a sense resistor for the system. This allows the device to measure current accurately over a wide range of input voltages. The EVM has two current Measurement Port pins, VI and VREF, which allow external voltage measurement. The device also incorporates an open-drain digital output to indicate the device is in a high or low current state. The INA223EVM also includes an adjustable voltage reference (adjusted by an on-board reference potentiometer) so that the sense resistor can be accurately matched to the output device.
