The IRM-8751K-1 is an opto-electronic device, classified as an optical sensor, photo detector and remote receiver. It is used to detect the presence of a remote infrared signal from a transmitter such as a television or a remote control. It is able to detect infrared light emitted from an object and then respond with a signal.
Application Field
The IRM-8751K-1 is applicable in a variety of applications in industries, such as automatic pet door openers, security systems, industrial automation, remote control, automotive applications, medical equipment, and consumer electronics. It has a high level of reliability and can detect signals of various frequencies. In addition, the infrared receiver module is used in a variety of applications in robotics. It can be used to detect the presence of a robot’s environment, as well as objects within it. This allows robots to observe and navigate their environment in a planned and reliable manner. The module also helps robots sense and interact with their environment and can be used to receive remote commands from a controller, allowing a robot to obey various commands.Other applications include remote control applications in industrial processes, such as machine tools, seam welding machines, and control of other industrial production processes. Remote receivers are also used in remote sensing applications, to detect the invisible thermal radiation of a target. This is used in a wide range of applications, such as high temperature industrial processes, and scientific research.
Working Principle
An infrared remote control transmitter sends out an infrared light signal encoded with a particular data pattern. When the signal is directed toward the IRM-8751K-1, the internal photodiode senses the light and amplifies it to a voltage level. The signal is then filtered and converted to a logic level by a demodulation circuit. The frequency of the signal from the remote control transmitter is determined by the type of modulation used. For example, a pulse frequency modulated signal has a frequency range of 40 kHz to 60 kHz. The response of the IRM-8751K-1 is dependent upon the transmitter power, and its range varies with different transmission frequencies and transmission power.Currently, the output can be provided in two ways: direct or via an integrated serial port. With the direct output the device is powered directly from the input voltage, and the output voltage range is 0 V to 3.3 V. The serial port output method allows for more flexibility, as it is compatible with a variety of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, and I2C. This allows the IRM-8751K-1 to be used with a wide array of equipment.
