The IS-DEV KIT-5D is a versatile, user-friendly and advanced demonstration and evaluation board which integrates a plethora of solutions for efficient, accurate, reliable and secure IoT applications. This board is specifically designed to evaluate and demonstrate the most advanced technologies and solutions for monitoring, control and automation, such as power electronics, solar and energy harvesting, and wireless communications.

In general, the IS-DEV KIT-5D board is equipped with an array of high performance features, such as a 5-inch LCD display with capacitive touch control, 8-bit Long latency ARm Cortex M7 architecture, 2 W System-on-Chip SoC, integrated IEEE 1588 + PTP-networkmaster real-time clock, and a choice of 3.3V/5V power supply options. Additionally, the board includes 8 digital inputs/outputs, 2 UARTs, SPI, and CAN. On top of these, the board is highly versatile as it can be integrated with additional hardware and software platforms, such as Arduino®, ARMmbed, and GSM.

The primary application field and working principle of the IS-DEV KIT-5D is to enable users to easily evaluate and develop solutions based on various IoT technologies. This includes, but is not limited to, power meter solutions with large datalogging capabilities, energy harvesting wireless communications, and industrial automation. The board provides users with a comprehensive set of 28 integrated peripherals including 10/100 Ethernet MAC, USB host and device ports, FlexTripod Multi-App interface, 8 digital IO and 4 UARTs as well as several industrial communication interfaces including CAN, RS-485 and I2C.

Applications such as solar power monitoring and energy harvesting are enabled thanks to the integrated 5-inch LCD display which features predictive touch technology. Additionally, the board can be used for Monitoring and controlling systems with high rise of power such as motors and lighting applications, with the high performance, high integration, and the low-powered Long latency ARM Cortex M7 architecture. Furthermore, it was designed to optimize the use of Ethernet, enabling network communication and remote data logging against peaks of transients and disturbances.

The IS-DEV KIT-5D provides an easy way for developers to easily create and develop custom solutions based on various IoT technologies and cloud based platforms. It is suitable for solving a wide range of applications, from industrial automation and monitoring to solar/energy harvesting and wireless communications.
