ISL6292EVAL2Z is a high performance evaluation and demonstration board and kit developed by Intersil Corporation. The kit is designed specifically to evaluate the performance of the ISL6292 LED driver, which is an integrated driver-LED solution for driving LEDs from DC power supplies or battery operated systems.The ISL6292EVAL2Z board is designed specifically to demonstrate the performance of the ISL6292 LED driver, featuring a two channel, four input configuration. It also includes a 16-bit resolution PWM signal for dimming option, programmable start-up current setting, thermal and over-current protection, integrated soft-start, and wide input voltage range.The ISL6292EVAL2Z board enables designers to quickly assess the performance of the ISL6292 LED driver over a wide range of input voltages, load conditions and temperatures. The board can be easily configured to test multiple LED devices in both high- and low-level current modes, while the dimming option allows the user to easily vary the current and output voltage of the LED driver.In terms of features, the ISL6292EVAL2Z board and kit includes all the components and circuitry required to evaluate the performance of the ISL6292 LED driver. It includes an integrated temperature sensor (Thermo4™), an external clock and a power supply circuit, allowing users to design and test their solutions with ease. Additionally, a user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI) enables users to quickly program and control the ISL6292EVAL2Z board, and access all the features offered by the device.The ISL6292EVAL2Z board and kit works on the principle of PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). The PWM signal is generated using a proprietary start-up circuit and a programmable on-chip signal processor. The output of the ISL6292EVAL2Z board is generated by the application of a high-frequency, wide-bandwidth PWM signal, which is proportional to the duty cycle of the signal. The PWM signal is then amplified and filtered into a high efficiency, regulated voltage or current for driving an LED device.The ISL6292EVAL2Z board is ideal for fast, reliable testing of multiple LED configurations in applications ranging from automotive lighting, rearview mirror and LCD backlight displays to general illumination applications. The ISL6292EVAL2Z board and kit also provides users with comprehensive data logging and monitoring features, enabling them to easily analyze data, troubleshoot issues and optimize their design.
