ISL6522EVAL1 is an evaluation board intended for evaluation and demonstration of Isoloop digital isolated DC/DC point-of-load power converter. ISL6522EVAL1 consists of an ISL6522POWR dual phase synchronous buck controller with a 2A/22V direct input, and a synchronous rectified 6.7V, 2A output, making it ideal for high-power, high voltage applications in industrial, automotive, and telecom applications. The board also includes on-board precision load regulation, over-current and over-voltage protection, and adjustable gate drive voltage.

DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS are switching mode power supplies (SMPS) that convert direct current (DC) or single-phase alternating current (AC) power to multiple phases of alternating current (AC) power. The conversion is done through a series of switching elements which when switched control the phases of the DC or AC power. This produces a multi-phase supply with a reduced ripple noise which is suitably filtered to create a stable output voltage.

The ISL6522EVAL1 application field is wide and varied, and is suitable for applications that require robust, high power, and efficient isolated DC/DC power conversion.
