Features

The ISL6580CR is a highly integrated PMIC that includes features such as voltage regulation, power sequencing, hot swap, load current monitoring, fault monitoring and protection. It provides excellent load regulation and dynamic load step response, with the capability to support up to 4 load switches with external P-channel MOSFETs, 10 precise switching current sources, 10 precise loads selection, and 200 mA (max) output currents. The ISL6580CR utilizes a fast current-sense pre-amplifier, allows it to support fast dynamic outputs while maintaining best-in-class dynamics and transient response. The ISL6580CR is designed to operate in a wide range of applications, up to 2.3V to 32V supply voltages.

The Programmable switching current sources are optimized to provide precise current limit and low output impedance, reducing power dissipation and improving overall efficiency. The current monitor circuit provides precise current level measurement and the fault detect circuit provides instantaneous fault monitoring and protection. The safety latch circuit prevents turning on of the load switch even if a fault is sensed.
