The ISL9305IRTAANLZ-T is a revolutionary Isolated synchronous step-down converter. The controller supports both sounder and Silent mode of operation, where the sounder mode produces a synthesized switching noise to alert the user of a significant output disturbance, while the Silent mode is enabled when a silent approach is desired.

The power stage is comprised of a high-efficiency topology with a minimum number of components, including an integrated inductor and two external MOSFETs. The output voltage is regulated by the On-Time Control Waveform(OTCW) technique. The OTCW regulates the switch on-time with only three components, while achieving a constant peak current mode that eliminates low-frequency oscillations caused by inductor resistance. This technique also significantly improves the design efficiency.

The integrated inductor is designed for high efficiency and optimal transient response. The inductor has a lower ESR and produces much less heat than a standard off-the-shelf inductor, improving efficiency and further reducing size.
