The ISL95837IRZ, manufactured by Renesas, is a flexible step-down dc-dc converter specifically designed for data center and telecom mini-blade servers. It is a Special Purpose Voltage Regulator from the PMIC or Power Management IC family. The ISL95837IRZ is an integrated, synchronous voltage regulator for providing precise regulation of the output voltage. The device has a wide power input range, low output voltage ripple, and wide output voltage range. The ISL95837IRZ is intended for high power density applications, with the ability to provide up to 12A at 48V while maintaining high efficiency and excellent line and load regulation.
The ISL95837IRZ offers a single output of 3.3V to 0.8V with fast transient response and a wide input voltage range of up to 75V (or 72V in some cases). It also supports a wide range of output current loading, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications, such as data center and telecom equipment, medical and industrial equipment, LED lighting and accessories, and power management systems.
The device has a variety of features, including adjustable voltage output levels, soft-start, power limiting, foldback current limiting, and over-temperature shutdown protection. It also provides thermal shutdown protection, which prevents it from becoming damaged under sustained high temperature operation.
