The ISL97632IRTZ-EVALZ evaluation board is an advanced signal-conditioning tool for Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications. It enables the evaluation of both PoE and PoE Plus transmitter architectures for single- or dual-port applications. The ISL97632IRTZ-EVALZ is an extremely low power consumed evaluation board that contains a robust N-channel MOSFET driver and control logic that enable flexible device configurations to meet the requirements of a wide range of PoE applications. The board allows engineers to quickly test the ISL97632IRTZ evaluation device under various operating conditions and power profiles. The evaluation board is designed to allow engineers to evaluate the performance of the device in PoE applications, as well as its ability to operate in both isolated and non-isolated designs.

The ISL97632IRTZ-EVALZ evaluation board is capable of providing up to 20 W of power through the so-called Power sourcing Equipment (PSE), allowing it to be used for a range of LED applications such as LED lighting, LED signage, LED driver circuits, LED displays, LED imaging and LED dimming. The board is also able to accurately measure and control the output power of DC-DC converters for LED lighting.

The evaluation board is based on a two-stage architecture, which includes a primary floating isolated gate driver and a secondary isolated MOSFET driver. The two-stage architecture further divides the operations of the device into separate power and control parts, which results in better noise immunity, improved efficiency and lower power dissipation. The primary stage of the driver controls the output of the LED driver, while the secondary stage enables fine-grained adjustment of LED current with a small size and low power dissipation.
