The JWS1503 AC/DC Converters is a versatile and reliable solution for a variety of applications. It provides a rated output of 6 volts DC, and a maximum output of up to 12 volts DC. It is designed for universal industrial applications such as motor control, medical devices, instrumentation, power supplies, and consumer electronics. The JWS1503 is designed for wide temperature range operation, from -20°C to +105°C. The device has an adjustable output voltage, current limit protection, and short circuit protection. The unit is compact, and its slim design saves space and reduces the overall size of a system. The JWS1503\'s design is based on a full bridge topology. This topology utilizes two main semiconductors—an AC coupling circuit and a DC-link power switch—to bridge the AC input voltage to the DC output voltage. The AC coupling circuit is comprised of two very low-loss legs that include fast switching IGBTs, which are the primary switching devices. The IGBTs are driven by two separate power control sections that synchronize the switching of the IGBTs according to the input voltage and load condition. At the output, the JWS1503 features an output current regulator with an adjustable output voltage, current limit protection, and short circuit protection.
