Working Principle

The KB16NKW01 has two contact blocks, one for the momentary and the other for the alternate/latched version. The momentary contact block has a single pole double throw (SPDT) contact configuration, while the alternate/latched version has a single pole single throw (SPST) contact configuration. Upon activation by pushing the button, the contact blocks will close, completing the circuit and enabling the power to be transferred to the device. When the button is released, the contact blocks will open, breaking the circuit and stopping the flow of power.

The contact blocks are made with an insulated silver alloy and feature an adjustable spring contact pressure.
