As boards specifically designed for evaluation, KMB-001CEVALZ features the on board Z8-Encore!, 32kHz RTC, a keypad & LCD, Real-Time Interrupts, Serial ports, PWM outputs, and two stepper motor drivers. These features enable designers to test microcontroller designs, focusing on the functions of the product without having to worry about the connection to peripheral devices. The board uses single-row pins which ensures safe and secure connection for the embedded system. The board and on board components are also able to operate with low voltage levels. The evaluation board, with the Maxim Integrated microcontroller family, is able to perform several important functions such as real-time interrupt control, peripheral function control, determination of correct system architecture, peripheral connection interface, protocol coverage, and measurement of power consumption. By utilizing the KMB-001CEVALZ, engineers can quickly and accurately test the effectivity of their designs. The KMB-001CEVALZ evaluation board is powered by a 9V AC adapter. The microcontroller device can be connected to the board and the nine-pin serial port allows basic control and data communication using the tools provided. In terms of testing, the board is equipped with an ICSP (In-Circuit Serial Programming) connector which allows users to program the Maxim Integrated microcontroller family via the Simplicity Studio (an ESP-8266 version) or by using the on board keypad and LCD display to provide direct input.The KMB-001CEVALZ evaluation board includes a large number of useful features: It provides two stepper motor driving circuits, ADC/DAC peripheral functions, on board LEDs and switches, RTC, and an LCD. The board also has a microSD slot which enables users to use the microcontroller to save and retrieve data quickly and easily. KMB-001CEVALZ can also be used as an evaluator for multi-protocol wireless networks.
