Fixed inductors, sometimes called chokes, are static passive components used to store energy in an electric field, regulated and also to limit current flow in a circuit. Working Principles

The basic concept behind the working principle of an inductor is Faraday\'s law of induction. This states that a change in magnetic flux causes an electric current proportional to the rate of the flux\'s change. The induced current will circulate in the conductor creating a magnetic field around the conductor, called self-inductance. Furthermore, this self-inductance can create an opposing electric current, reducing the net current in the circuit.
