Modern LED lighting products require a high degree of control, particularly in residential and commercial applications. With advances in power electronics and microcontroller technology, solutions have become available that provide adaptive LED dimming and other control functions. An example of this is the L2-PGC1-F LED Engine, a fully self-contained, high power LED driver solution for use in driving LED applications such as high-bay lighting, spot-lighting and general lighting for offices, retail, hospitality and other applications.

Overview

The L2-PGC1-F LED Engine is a self-contained LED driver designed to drive high power LED lighting solutions in residential and commercial applications. The system consists of an LED driver with a built-in power transistor, a microcontroller unit and a low voltage signal control interface. The system can be used to drive up to 1800W of high power LEDs (including COBs, Engines and Modules).

The L2-PGC1-F includes a patented AccuSync Adaptive Dimming technology, which enables the dimming of high power LEDs to their absolute lowest running level. This is accomplished by monitoring the LED junction temperature to adjust the output current while maintaining the light output level. This allows the system to provide the most effective application of power while delivering the desired light output level. In addition, the system features an integrated over-temperature protection, which will cause the system to shut down if the LED junction temperature exceeds a predetermined level. This helps to protect the LEDs from thermal degradation and hence maintain the life-span of the system.

Technical Specifications

The L2-PGC1-F is a dimmable LED Engine with a rated operating temperature of 0-40°C. The system has a maximum power of 1800W, which can be used to drive up to 1800W of high power LEDs (including COBs, Engines and Modules). The system contains an LED driver with a built-in power transistor, a microcontroller unit and a low voltage signal control interface. The system can be driven with a 0-10V dimming signal, with dimmability from 0-100%.

The system is powered by a universal input voltage of 100-265VAC and contains an integrated EMI filter with a noise level of <25dB.
