Working Principle

L22-TEC48V is based on the switching current source technology, which is a high efficient topology and faster response to light changes. It uses a switching current source (SCS) to supply power to each LED channel. The SCS is capable of providing current pulses at high frequency, which results in a high power factor, high efficiency and lower electromagnetic interference (EMI). The basic working principle is that the SCS will give each channel a certain amount of current. This current is pulse width modulated, thus resulting in faster and better response to light changing.

The SCS also works in conjunction with an internal voltage loop, which helps in minimizing the total variation of luminous intensity while still providing a high level of efficiency. The voltage loop is also capable of automatically adjusting the amplitude and frequency of the current according to the required output power. Moreover, the SCS has a built-in protection circuit which allows it to automatically recover from any sudden shutdown due to internal overvoltage.
