LAP-301YL is a type of LED character and numeric display module, including a variety of LED display area configurations, such as 8×8 matrix and 7-segment numeric display. It is regularly used in predetermined applications, such as calculating machinery, appliances, telecommunication equipment, as well as traffic and medical systems.

The IVLM329 IC acts as a driving circuit for the LED display. In this case, the common anode of the LED is connected to the power line and the segments of the LED are connected to the corresponding output pins of the IC.

This module is also equipped with one control pin for programming the display. The pin should be connected to low level for programming the display. Once programmed, the display will cycle through the stored characters or numbers.
