Display Modules – LED Character and Numeric encompasses a broad range of products used in a variety of applications. The innovative LDD-C4302RI series of LED display modules is a great example of one such product. This series is specifically designed for use in lighting control, industrial control and safety equipments, and many other applications.

The LDD-C4302RI series utilizes four red LED elements constructed in the form of a single low-profile module. The four ultra-bright red LED elements are arranged in a square format and are connected in a “ladder” configuration. This allows for excellent visibility from any viewing angle. With a LED pitch of 6mm and a module dim (angle A) of 8mm, the LDD-C4302RI offers superior flexibility when used in tight space conditions.

When it comes to the power and control requiraments, the LDD-C4302RI is up to the task. It operates on 12-24VDC power with less than 10mA of current draw. This low power level allows it to operate with minimal impact to the battery or power supply. Additionally, each segment can be individually addressed and is capable of driving up to 4mA at 24VDC.

The working principles of the LDD-C4302RI series of LED display modules can be better illustrated from a view of the schematic diagram. A single-pole, four-throw switch is used to power each segment of the module. The switch is comprised of four individual switches: one for each of the segments. The output of the switch is then connected to the cathode of each LED element via its corresponding resistor. When the switch is powered, current is able to flow through the LED diode, allowing the LED to light up. The resistance value for each segment may be adjusted with a resistor network to accommodate different current requirements.
