The LDD-C516RI series is a 5x 16 character LCD display module released by Optrex and manufactured in China. The display panel utilizes high efficiency, 6:00 (side angle) viewed TN/STN LCD and FSTN positive technology. In addition to its wide-angle of view, and low power consumption, the LDD-C516RI series exhibits good environmental resistance with wide operating temperature and good response speed. The modules come with built in an EL and inverter that can be used for backlight applications, eliminating the need for external EL drivers. The modules also come with built in a controller that supports various control commands.
