The LDDF302NI is a two-digit, seven-segment LED display module with TTL (transistor-transistor logic) compatibility. It is galvanically isolated from the driving system, making it ideal for use in displays, process monitoring and instrumentation. The module features two 7-segment LED displays and more than two indicators to monitor the current transistor logic (TTL) levels. The module consumes minimum power and the LED display is visible in any type of environment ranging from direct sunlight to complete darkness. Additionally, the level of brightness of the LED display can be adjusted using a single resistor. The module is resistant to adverse environmental conditions, shocks and vibrations, and can operate from -40 to +85 degrees Celsius temperature range.

LDDF302NI is mainly used in man-machine interface (MMI) systems, process control, data communications, display of data and status information, closed loop measurements, and condition monitoring systems. It is also used for displays, for visual inspection of equipment, such as traffic flow control and status display, operation panels and warning systems. The module uses the basic principle of emitting light when an appropriate current is applied to the LED display.

The module is composed of two 7-segment 0.56 inch LED displays, each comprising 14 pins. Each LED of the display consists of 7 separate segments which are connected in series, forming a common anode. The segments are driven by series transistors and if a segment is lit, a current flows through the series transistor and the corresponding anode. To turn off the corresponding segment, the series transistor is turned off and current is not allowed to flow through the segment.

The module can be driven by TTL logic. A high logic level will switch on the internal circuitry, which will enable the connection of 4 of the segments. A low logic level will enable the other 4 of the segments. This principle is used for displaying different numbers or characters. The LEDs used in the module have a wide viewing angle of up to 120 degrees. The module also features an adjustable brightness control so that the user can adjust the brightness of the LED display as per their requirements.

The module is resistant to shock, vibrations, and extreme temperatures. The life span of the LED displays range from more than 10,000 hours to more than 50,000 hours, depending on the mode of operation and the ambient conditions. All components are well insulated against humidity, dust and dirt, making them ideal for use in harsh environments. The module also features overvoltage, overtemperature and overcurrent protection.
