The LGA100A-5-SNY is a bidirectional AC/DC converter, which combines the efficient integrated functions of a DC link inverter and AC-side system protocol interface. The LGA100A-5-SNY provides a power supply system which is efficient, space saving, and cost effective. It is suitable for use in off-grid solar and wind-powered systems, and for use in grid-connected and parallel grid systems.The LGA100A-5-SNY uses a full-bridge topology to convert AC voltage source to a DC voltage. Two transistor arms are connected in parallel, together with two diodes in the DC link. During the positive cycle of the AC sine wave, two diodes conduct in a reverse direction, shifting the current from the input side to the output side. During the negative cycle, the output current is shifted from the output side to the input side, with the current flowing through the two transistors in opposite directions. The two arms of the bridge serve as transfer switches and the two diodes help to reduce voltage and current spikes, ensuring a safe outputs.The AC-side of the LGA100A-5-SNY includes an integrated AC interface module that controls the switch action of the two transistor arms to avoid harmonic distortions and current noise. It also provides safeguards to protect the device from power surge, under voltage or over voltage, and contact bounce problems.The DC link also contains a power factor correction circuit, which maintains stable power factor for stable performance. The DC link is designed to handle an input voltage of up to 480V with a current of up to 100A. It also contains current sensors and a voltage sensor for monitoring and protection functions.

The AC side of the converter also includes a rectifier power filter stage to reduce ripple, and EMI suppression functions. The rectifier filter stage is connected to the output of the converter and prevents noise and harmonics from being propagated. This power filter stage also contains a common-mode inductor for better output current regulation.The converter has an integrated system protocol interface. This interface enables communication with external systems such as monitoring and control systems for power conditioning, status monitoring, and performance optimization.

The LGA100A-5-SNY has a high efficiency rating at full load, and offers power savings of up to 50% over conventional AC/DC converters. It has a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, and a high current density of up to 1000A/in3.
