The LM4040AIM3-2.0/NOPB is a precision voltage reference designed for precision microprocessor, digital circuit or power supply applications with accuracy over temperature to ±2.0mV. It is also suitable for high current applications with low operating current of only 200μA, making it an ideal choice for power supplies, low power equipment, battery powered system and high current applications.

The LM4040AIM3-2.0/NOPB is available in several packages and output options. The low-temperature coefficient electrically programmable output voltage range is 2.0V to 10.0V with a temperature coefficient of 0.2mV/°C max. The high-impedance reference source and low output noise make it especially suitable for clean rail applications.

The LM4040AIM3-2.0/NOPB features trim and disable options. The trim option allows the output voltage to be programmed up to ±2% accuracy over temperature. The disable function allows the output voltage to be shut down for power savings. In addition, the LM4040AIM3-2.0/NOPB features a precision reset output that remains stable with input and output voltage swings for reliable operation.

The LM4040AIM3-2.0/NOPB offers excellent stability and temperature coefficient performance. The precision output is factory trimmed at a 2.048V output voltage and remains stable over both temperature and supply voltage conditions. At a nominal 5V input voltage, the output voltage is guaranteed to be within ±2.0mV over an operating temperature range of -45°C to +125°C.

The LM4040AIM3-2.0/NOPB is built with a two-wire programming interface that allows the output voltage to be remotely programmed. This can be used to create several unique pre-settle references with a single part. With this feature, the output voltage can be programmed with just two wires and without any additional components. The precision voltage reference also features a low power shutdown mode that allows the device to reduce its current to 500μA.

The LM4040AIM3-2.0/NOPB is ideal for precision applications such as motor control, analog-to-digital converters and DC to DC converters. It is also an excellent choice for power supplies, low power equipment, battery powered systems and high current applications. Furthermore, the precision output and low operating current make the LM4040AIM3-2.0/NOPB an ideal voltage reference for all types of precision applications.
