LPJ-12SP fuses provide over-current protection for motor branch circuits, heating and air-conditioning, and electronic circuits. This type of fuse is designed to coordinate with the various motor types to help protect against motor overload, phase to ground faults, and phase to phase faults. LPJ-12SP fuses provide high interrupting capacity and are rated for 277VAC and 60 AC amperes. This type of fuse is UL Recognized, Rated for 277VAC with an Maximum Voltage Rating of 600VAC, and their interrupting capacity is 1000 AC RMS amperes at 280VAC.
The LPJ-12SP have a superior flame operating time rating and an interrupting capability up to 200,000 Amp Symmetric, making them an economical choice for motor circuit protection. They are designed with an A3B time-delay design that operates at temperatures up to 180°C, and two varistor layers that provide extended protection against surges and transient over-current faults. The high-strength polymer housing and construction make them especially shock and vibration resistant.
The LPJ-12SP fuses work by allowing current to pass through them for a specific amount of time. If the current is greater than the rated current, then the fuse breaches or "blows" and interrupts the circuit. The LPJ-12SP fuse has a variety of operational characteristics depending on its application. For motor branch circuits, the LPJ-12SP fuse monitors the current in order to measure the motor\'s real-time operation and helps protect against overloads.
In heating and air conditioning applications, the LPJ-12SP fuse helps protect against short circuits and ground faults. It also helps protect against phase reversal which can occur in heating and air conditioning systems when components fail or are incorrectly wired. In electronic circuits, the LPJ-12SP fuse helps protect against transient events and over-voltage transients, as well as shorts and intermittent over-currents. The fuse helps ensure that any circuits connected to it are operating at the right voltage or current levels and not exposed to any risk.
The LPJ-12SP fuse is a specialty type of fuse that is designed for certain types of motor and electronic protection. The high temperatures and interrupting capacity ratings make it a suitable choice for protecting circuits from over-currents, phase-to-ground and phase-to-phase faults. This type of fuse also provides protection against transient events and over-voltage transients. It is UL recognized and has a time-delay design that ensures operation up to 180°C. The LPJ-12SP fuse is a reliable and economical solution for protecting motor branches, heating and air-conditioning, and electronic circuits.
