Through Hole Resistors

LR1F2R21 is an axial leaded thick film resistor series which is ideal for mounting through hole components in the surface mount assembly process. It is designed to have excellent electric performance characteristics, is available in resistance values from 1 to 100 ohms, and is rated for operation at temperatures up to 125 degrees Celsius. Application Field

Working Principle

The LR1F2R21 series is composed of a thick film resistor technology which involves the application of a resistive element composed of a special conductive polymer on a substrate composed of a ceramic base material. The resulting resistive element is then coated with an insulating protective layer which helps to protect it from physical damage and environmental exposure. The resistive element is then mounted onto a through-hole component and is connected to the PCBs by means of two axial leads.

The resistance of the LR1F2R21 resistor is determined by the thickness of the resistive film, the length of the element, and its cross sectional area. The resistance value of the LR1F2R21 resistor will remain stable and consistent at all temperature ranges, allowing the device to maintain its specified resistance value over time.
