PTC resettable fuses are made up of a special temperature-sensitive polymer, combined with metal elements, and sometimes with additional protection layers. Designed to act as a circuit breaker, as soon as they detect an overcurrent situation they will activate their switching mechanism, interrupting the electrical flow, thus protecting the circuitry from fire or damage danger. The LR4-700XHF is one such fuse, providing reliable overcurrent protection which makes it particularly suitable for embedded and automotive applications.
The LR4-700XHF exceeds current industry standards for robustness and is UL recognized, meaning it can be used confidently in many electrical circuits.
