Application Field and Working Principle of LRE-19-100-R-00-10-A
Position sensors are used to continuously measure movement, obtaining information from the position of a rotating or linear object in order to perform actions and processes that require control and feedback. Common applications can be found in robotics, automation, transportation, medical, industrial, and consumer products, among others. The LRE-19-100-R-00-10-A (hereinafter referred to as the "LRE Sensor") is a position sensor that belongs to the family of angle and linear position measuring devices. This sensor is designed to detect the absolute linear position of an object using capacitive technology.
The LRE on/off value is adjustable and comes with an analog output signal, which is analog-to-digital converted. The sensing range is 0-10mm, the resolution 0.02μm, and its accuracy is 0.1μm. It also has several features that help increase its performance, efficiency, and accuracy. The device has a temperature compensation range of -20°C to +85°C and can be operated at a humidity of up to 95%. It is resistant to shocks, vibrations, pressures, and vibrations.
The working principle of the LRE Sensor is based on the fact that changes in the shape or size of a material will result in changes in its capacitance. The sensor has a stainless steel sensing element, which is studded with electrodes and embedded in an insulating protective cover to provide protection against dust, dirt, and other environmental hazards. When the object’s linear position changes, the capacitance of the sensing element also changes relative to that position. This change in capacitance is detected and measured to obtain the absolute position of the object, in relation to the sensing element.
In order to evaluate the linear position, the sensor includes a pair of comparators to measure the change in capacitance with respect to the reference pressure. This reference pressure is established by adjusting a control unit with an onboard potentiometer. The LRE Sensor is able to provide more precise measurements than a regular linear position feedback device. It also features a wide dynamic range, which allows for extended operation in extreme temperatures.
The LRE is widely used in automotive and orthotic applications. It can measure key movement such as gear shifting, crankshaft position, shifter lever movements, brake pedal applications, and leg motions. It is commonly used as a linear feedback device for various types of industrial automation, including robotic arms, lathes, and automated assembly lines. In orthotic applications, it can be used to measure the motion of a foot, ankle, or knee, providing information about the ankle’s range of motion and extensor force.
The LRE Sensor is durable, reliable, and cost-effective. It is designed to withstand extreme temperatures and vibrations, and to provide accurate readings in challenging environments. With its accuracy and wide range of applications, the LRE Sensor is an ideal choice for a wide range of position sensing needs.
