LT1132ACN#PBF is a 23 mΩ (typical) dual differential line transceiver that features controlled rise and fall times, driver output short-circuit current limiting, and provides power-up/power-down glitch-free transmission. The device consumes very low static and dynamic power and is optimized for AC performance in communication interface, bus-controller, and networking market applications. It is designed to operate from a single 3.3 V supply.

The LT1132ACN#PBF offers two line driver outputs and two receiver inputs with each driver and receiver having a disabled state. The driver and receiver enable pins select either the driver or receiver as active. The differential output voltage swing is typically 400 mV peak-to-peak for 1500 pF load. Working Principle

The LT1132ACN#PBF utilizes a controlled slew rate output and an on-chip ESD protection circuitry for enhanced capacitive line loading capability. Its controlled slew rate output minimizes radiated emissions and reduces overshoot and ringing on heavily loaded lines. Its driver output current-limiting circuitry provides improved driver output protection without excessive current surges into shorts. The on-chip current limit limits the maximum output current that can be sunk or sourced by the driver outputs to a safe level.

The LT1132ACN#PBF\'s power-up and power-down sequencing allows glitch-free transmission of data on power-up. This sequencing prevents false triggering of the receiver’s input state and maintains the driver’s output state in case of a power fault. The driver and receiver enable pins select either the driver or the receiver as active. When the driver is enabled, the receiver outputs are forced to a known logic state.

The LT1132ACN#PBF also features a built-in thermal protection circuitry to protect the device from overheating due to excessive operating or ambient temperature.
