LT1431CZ#PBF is a two terminal adjustable shunt regulator. It is classified in PMIC (Power Management IC) – Voltage Reference category. The LT1431CZ#PBF features a bandgap cell which is set by the resistive (R1) and capacitive (C1) network connected to the external pins. An internal current source drives the bandgap cell, while the adjustable output voltage is achieved by connecting the Collector of the NPN transistor and the Bandgap Cell. The voltage across an external R2 resistor is compared to an internally held reference voltage to regulate the transistor (Q1) base current, providing constant output voltage.
