PRMICE – Voltage Regulators – Special Purpose (LT1942EUF#TRPBF)
The LT1942EUF#TRPBF is a high-performance, special purpose PMIC voltage regulator. The regulator is designed with a proprietary internal high frequency switch mode power supply (SMPS) architecture to operate over a wide input voltage range of 2.5V–50V with low output noise and low output impedance. It provides efficient utilization of the input voltage with as little as 10.8mV/V output voltage when operating from a 20V input and 9.5mV/V from a 40V input. It offers a wide power input-to-output range with low quiescent current for lower power consumption. In addition, it offers a wide operating ambient temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
Working Principle
The LT1942EUF#TRPBF employs a patented hybrid voltage regulator architecture consisting of a linear-dropout regulator, a temperature-stabilized low dropout (LDO) regulator and a low output noise voltage reference. The hybrid regulator is combined with a synchronous boost converter to provide high efficiency conversions over a wide input voltage range and load current levels. The device is designed to supply low noise, low impedance power to video processing, high-definition video applications, wireless communication and other high-performance applications.
