The LT3095EUDD#PBF is a synchronous step-down switching regulator that is capable of delivering up to 5A output current. Designed specifically for applications requiring high efficiency and low noise, the LT3095EUDD#PBF offers a wide range of protection features, including input undervoltage lockout, input overvoltage protection, and output current limitation. Additionally, the LT3095EUDD#PBF includes an internal charge pump for speeds up to 2MHz, adjustable soft-start and adjustable current limit.
The LT3095EUDD#PBF is designed to be used as an adjustable output linear regulator, switching regulator, phase-shifted full-bridge constant-current source, and as a low noise, high efficiency, step-down regulator. It features a fixed frequency, current-mode architecture with a high peak current limit and extremely fast transient response to line and load changes. A wide input voltage range, up to 40V, allows for a design that only requires a low value of output capacitance to achieve tight regulation of the output voltage over line and load changes.
The LT3095EUDD#PBF also includes an additional protection feature, a programmable over-current protection (OCP). This allows the user to configure the device for operation under a load transient, eliminating the need for external components that are typically needed to protect against over-current events.
The LT3095EUDD#PBF features an integrated low dropout (LDO) mode, allowing the device to operate in low power mode when the output voltage is below a programmed level. This reduces the input supply voltage, saving power and reducing heat generation.
