The LTC-5653HR has a common anode design and can be used with a wide range of complimentary LED’s and associated electronics, with a brightness rating of up to 12000 mcd per segment. It is also one of the most versatile LED character and numeric display modules available on the market today.The LTC-5653HR employs an 8-digit flexible array of moving dot-character display with a wide range of user-friendly features. This could be used for displaying the current time, date, data from a temperature or pressure gauge and many other types of information.The working principle behind the LTC-5653HR display module is the common anode design which is composed of 8 integrated circuits (ICs).Each IC is connected, via an internal connector, to all 8 pins of the display module. The IC ‘s are then assigned different functions and are controlled by an external programmable logic controller (PLC).The PLC logic is configured to the display parameters and information that will be displayed on the series of words and characters programmed in the module. Each character and information piece is associated to one of the 8 pins and electrically connected to the IC.
