The LTC2634 is a precision quad, 16-/14-/12-bit rail-to-rail DAC with I2C and SPI digital interfaces. This device is suitable for a wide range of applications including industrial, medical, automotive and consumer. The LTC2634CMSE-LZ10#PBF is part of a family of devices that have the ability to perform a variety of integrated digital-to-analog conversion functions with excellent performance along with low power consumption.The LTC2634CMSE-LZ10#PBF is a precision digital-to-analog converter (DAC) which utilizes a VOUT pin to output a voltage depending on the digital code loaded into the DAC. The output range of the VOUT pin can be selected to be anywhere between 0 and 4.096V, or 0 and 2.048V. The transition times of the voltage signal at the VOUT pin are extremely fast, with a best-case settling time specification of 600ns. Additionally, the output voltage is extremely accurate, with a typical accuracy of 8LSB. This DAC CS pin also features an active-low write enable pin (LTC2634WR#) allowing the user to initiate a conversion or read process.The LTC2634CMSE-LZ10#PBF offers excellent power efficiency, with a typical power consumption of just 0.4 mW. This efficiency is enhanced further by a shutdown mode which can reduce the power consumption to 0.05 mW. This device also operates across a wide temperature range of -40°C to +85°C with little change in performance characteristics.In its simplest form, the LTC2634CMSE-LZ10#PBF acts as a digital-to-analog converter.
