The LTC2634IMSE-LZ12#TRPBF is a high-performance 12-bit voltage output DAC with integrated EEPROM. Working Principle

The output of the DAC is generated by an internal voltage reference and a digital-to-analog converter (DAC). The DAC output is then buffered and placed onto the DAC output terminals. The output voltage is determined by an input voltage reference and programming data sent to the DAC. Each DAC has two output terminals, one for the positive voltage and one for the negative voltage.

The EEPROM consists of eight internal memory pages. The DAC is programmed via the SPI port and updated registers. Programming is based on voltage data stored in the EEPROM. Each page can store up to four DAC outputs. When the EEPROM is updated, the selected page is written with a nonvolatile output values, which are stored until the next EEPROM update.

The DAC can operate from a single supply between 2.7V and 5.5V. For optimal performance, a low voltage single-supply operation is recommended. The parts also support multiple power-on reset modes.
