Linear - Amplifiers - Special Purpose

The LTC6360IDD is an advanced, high performance differential amplifier designed for the general purpose or wide bandwidth applications in oscilloscope and radio frequency (RF) applications. It is a high voltage, low current, low noise differential amplifier designed with an integrated differential pair and a high speed output stage. The LTC6360IDD provides an excellent combination of high differential gain, high Common Mode Rejection Ratio (CMRR), low distortion, low output noise, and high power supply rejection for a wide range of applications.

The LTC6360IDD operates from a single +5V supply that provides a low power dissipation of 4mW per amp. The gain of the amplifier is adjustable from 10 to 80dB, allowing easy implementation of high bandwidth to low bandwidth applications. The LTC6360IDD features a unique “active common mode clipper” that makes it ideal for driving sampling systems and highly accurate data acquisition systems. The single ended output can achieve a minimum offset of 15mV, and a maximum output current of ±22mA.

This amplifier can also be used in medical systems, thanks to its integrated differential pair and its low quiescent current. Its low noise level of 4.5nV per amp helps to ensure the reliable operation of medical systems.

The working principle of LTC6360IDD is simple yet effective. The differential pair consists of two matched transistors connected in parallel, each with its own power supply connection. The amplifier also has a low distortion level of 0.001%, making it suitable for test and measuring applications.
