LTD-4708B is a series of LED Matrix Displays produced by LED Technology. It\'s categorised under the LED character and numeric display modules classification and offers 4x7 dot display format that makes it ideal for displaying text or numbers. In applications it can be used to display bar-graphs, time-scrolls and shift in characters.

Application Field: The LTD-4708B display modules are most popularly used in applications demanding zero power consumption such as for sign boards, advertisements, clocks and other timing devices, alarm and warning systems and countless other industrial applications.

Working Principle: The module is composed of four LED character and seven LED dot matrix either side. The module works by applying voltage in the four columns of characters from inbuilt driver and the corresponding LEDs will light up. The seven LED dot matrix on the other side allows for the display of text characters, digits, icons and bar-graphs. Power can be supplied by an external power source or a 3 V lithium battery.

The LTD-4708B series also comes with an on board controller that can be used to set the four characters simultaneously and to set as many as 16 different display animations. This device also comes with a number of built-in functions like display shift, time scroll, character scroll, and display brightness. Furthermore, it is equipped with an automatic scan control, which can be adjusted according to the requirement of the users.
