Working Principle:

The LTD-5260JD uses direct LED drive technology to provide efficient and reliable character display. The LED character is generated by driving each LED matrix with two columns of high-efficiency LEDs. This causes each LED to illuminate in a red or green depending on the input signal at the LED column. The matrix is constructed from multiple columns and each LED of the matrix is independently addressable. As a result, characters and numbers can be formed on the display.

The display also features internal DC-DC converters that accept inputs of either 5V or TTL logic. This allows for quick and efficient setup and operation. Although the display is self-contained, the LED display itself may need additional components like resistors and capacitors to achieve the desired brightness and contrast. The LED shield is removable and the LED status and configuration can be adjusted through the software configuration interface of the display.
