When the C1~C4 is forward level, then group D2/D3/D4/D5/D6 will be bright, when the C1~C4 is reverse level, then group D1/D7 will be bright. It acts as a standard LED display that has a seven segment common anode driver with the anode on the LED side. The LED brightness can be adjusted by adjusting the current.
