Working Principle

The LTL-10223W consists of a base with a series of LEDs which are housed inside a sealed lens. The base is powered by two side-mounted electrical terminals, with the LED power supply connected to a current limiting resistor. By connecting an external voltage to the terminals, the LED is turned on by current flowing through the LEDs. The output of the current limiting resistor is connected to a multifunction terminal, which is used to control the LED’s operation. Depending on the type of output used, the LED can be activated in different ways, such as turning off and on, using various time settings for illumination or running in a continuous fashion.

The LED can be further configured to produce various flash patterns or various time controls for triggering the on/off states. For instance, if a timer output is desired, the LTL-10223W can be configured to change from the Off state to the On state after some predetermined amount of time, and then to turn Off again after the same amount of time. This state can be repeated forever until the power is interrupted.

In some cases, the LTL-10223W can also be used with alarm outputs. Depending on the alarm, the LED can be configured to turn on when an alarm is received and indicate a warning by flashing in a pre-determined pattern. When the alarm is cleared, the LED will then turn off automatically.
