Working Principle

At the same time, holes from the P-type semiconductor start to flow to the N-type semiconductor. This process generates photons of light, which is then emitted from the LED. In the case of the LTL-4231NHNP LED, the two semiconductors are coated with different phosphor materials. The N-type semiconductor is coated with a red phosphor, while the P-type semiconductor is coated with a green phosphor. This results in a bi-color light output, wherein the color of the light output can be adjusted by varying the intensity of the current.
