The LTP-747HR is a package of 4x7 dot-matrix LED displays commonly used in applications requiring a medium level of readability. The package can be used to display alpha-numeric or graphical characters. The four displays can be cascaded up to 180 characters, allowing for maximum message visibility.

The LTP-747HR dot-matrix LED display module operates using a dedicated integrated circuit, which controls the addressing of the LEDs. The supporting LED in the LED dot-matrix is driven either directly from the LED pins using a static address or using a variable address to scan around the 4x7 dot-matrix in a sequence. The scan address control supports up to 4 displays in a Series or up to 7 displays in a Stack configuration.

The LTP-747HR dot-matrix LED display module is designed for applications with medium to low levels of readability, such as industrial instruments, information displays, digital clocks and timepieces, scientific instruments, microwave ovens, vehicles and marine navigation systems, etc. Its operating temperature range is -20 to +70°C.

To drive the LTP-747HR dot-matrix LED display module, the user must first connect all the necessary pins, including power and data pins, to the correct signal sources. The power pins connect to a suitable voltage source, while signal sources control the dot-matrix addresses and data input.
