The LTV-155E Isolator/Gate Driver is an electromechanical device designed to increase current flow and voltage between two electrical sources. It serves as a gate driver, and is particularly suited for operation with large coils and transformers that require a significant amount of current to operate. By using the LTV-155E, much more current can be supplied to the coils for operation than could be achieved without the device. This makes the LTV-155E ideal for applications such as large motors, pumps, and systems (e.g. HVAC systems) requiring precise control over power flow.
The LTV-155E works by means of an internal spring and solenoid assembly. The internal solenoid generates a magnetic force, and this force is used to compress the spring. When the desired current and/or voltage is reached, the internal solenoid releases and the spring relaxes, and the circuit is once again open.

This can be done by adjusting the tension on the spring with an external control knob or by adjusting the voltage that is supplied to the solenoid. This gives the user the ability to fine-tune the device for his or her specific application. It also allows the user to control the device remotely, from a control panel or even via a PC.
The LTV-155E is capable of opening and closing very rapidly, in the order of nanoseconds. This makes it ideal for very quick current and voltage adjustment in a wide range of applications. Additionally, the LTV-155E has a high surge tolerance and is capable of handling, with minimal heat build-up, higher current and voltage than other isolators of similar size. This makes it well suited for heavy duty industrial applications where harsh environments may be encountered.
