Working Principle

The LTW-5630AQL27 LED uses the LED principle, a form of solid-state lighting that uses electrical current to capacitatively activate a semiconductor material, in this case gallium nitride (GaN). Electrical charges pass through the material and cause electrons to recombine with holes, thus releasing energy in the form of light.

The LTW-5630AQL27 LED also utilizes a phosphor-converted LED configuration. This is a two-stage process, where the second stage involves coating the LED’s with a phosphor blend to achieve white light. The phosphor emits light at a different wavelength than that of the original LED and the combination of these two wavelengths produces white light.
