Application Field

M2018SD3W01 is a toggle switch with a maximum operating voltage of 250V and 10A. It can be used in micro motor operation, home appliances and other low voltage control, as well as low voltage illumination, communications and instrumentation secondary power supply. In addition, it can be used as an automatic switch for small power lighting circuits, incubators and other equipment, and even coupled with the opening and closing of electrical machinery for automated control.

Working Principle

The working principle of M2018SD3W01 is relatively simple. When two ends of the input terminals of the switch are connected with the power source, the output end of the switch is highlighted (or turned off). The connection of the two ends of the input terminal is done by the mechanical operation of the lever; when the lever is shifted, it will disconnect and reconnect the two ends of the input terminal which will enable the connection/disconnection of the power output.

The switch utilizes a lever which is connected to an internal mechanism that acts as a reed switch. When the lever is shifted, it will cause the switch to move and the reed switch can either be in an open or closed position. If the reed switch is in the open position, the power will be blocked and the light will be turned off. On the other hand, if the reed switch is in the closed position, the power will be passed on to the output and the light can be illuminated.

M2018SD3W01 is able to provide the convenience of switching power from one source to the other, easily and quickly, with minor effort. Furthermore, these switches are simple to install and can be operated with one hand.
