The M5LV-128/104-12VC is a single-chip, low-power, flash-based CPLD. Using 1.2V core, input, and I/O power supplies, it provides 1.8V and 3.3V I/O compatibility through an on-die level-shifter.
The device has 128 macrocells, distributed SRAM, static RAM, on-chip ROM, cascadable dual JTAG Chain Access port, LVTTL and LVCMOS logic functions, and up to 32 LVTTL compatible I/O pins. With 4-MHz maximum operating frequency in 4-input look-up table (LUT) operation, the device reduces system size, complexity and costs while enabling rapid approval of design cycles.
The M5LV-128/104-12VC has two types of macrocell: logic cells and gated logic cells. Logic cells are the basic elements used to configure complex logic found in microcontrollers and other programmable logic devices. Each macrocell consists of a programmable logic element (PLE) and an output register. Use the PLE to configure complex logic that is combined with the output register to provide synchronized results. Gated logic cells are designed for low power, requiring less power when not being used. They provide two outputs, an enable output and a registered output. When the enable output is asserted, the registered output outputs the value that is currently in the register. When the enable output is not asserted, the output is held high.
The M5LV-128/104-12VC also supports pin mapping. This allows you to quickly reassign pins and configure the device to fit your specific application. Each pin can be programmed to an IO type, an internal signal, or to be held in a high-impedance state.
