MAX6683AUB+ provides a ready-to-use solution for thermal management, featuring high accuracy and low power consumption.
The MAX6683AUB+ is a complete analog temperature sensor with a two-wire serial digital interface, a power-on reset, and an active-high shutdown mode. It includes an RTD temperature sensor, an analog signal conditioningpath, a digital temperature-calculation engine, and an output register with software write protection to prevent inadvertent overwriting of conversion results.
The device reads the signal from an external RTD (resistance temperature detector) with a resolution of 0.5°C and linearity of 0.2°C. The temperature range is -55 °C to +150 °C, so that it is able to measure a wide range of temperatures. The measurement accuracy is also very good - ±0.4°C. The device also offers a number of features to make it more user-friendly, such as adjustable thresholds for alert and shutdown temperature settings, an adjustable temperature resolution, and auto-clear on read after conversion.
