Working Principle
The MAX6974EVKIT+ evaluation board includes two factory-programmed LED drivers for driving up to four LED channels. The MAX6974EVKIT+ can be programmed with different LED drivers to suit the requirements of the application, and with each LED driver programmed to different current levels, designers can quickly and accurately test the complete range of LED current levels. With the LED drivers both preset and adjustable, LED designers have access to precision and accuracy in the LED system evaluation.
The evaluation board operates with a low voltage operating range of 7V to 36V input voltage, allowing it to facilitate LEDs at up to a 1.5A current rating. Through the board’s onboard DC/DC converter, the LEDs can be driven with a constant voltage or with a constant current, making it highly efficient for power savings. Furthermore, the use of different LED drivers can be used to drive LEDs of differing levels in the same system, allowing for the creation of very impressive lighting effects.
