MAX828EUK+T is a hybrid stepped-down switching regulator with an integrated Power Management IC (PMIC). It provides precise voltage regulation, low noise, and fast transient response. It is designed for power-sensitive applications that require high efficiency, small size, and low cost.

The MAX828EUK+T is designed for use in the voltage regulation stages of medium- to high-voltage applications, including laptops, desktop computers, server systems, and workstations. It also has an auto-restart feature that enables the device to continue functioning in the event of an overload, input voltage overvoltage, or output voltage undervoltage.

The MAX828EUK+T uses synchronous buck topology to regulate the output voltage. This topology eliminates the need for an external voltage-regulating loop and results in the high efficiency and fast transient response of the device. The maximum output current is 2A. The internal soft-start circuitry reduces output inrush current and reduces output voltage overshoot.

The MAX828EUK+T operates over a wide input voltage range of 4V to 32V and features a wide adjustment range of 2.5V to 28V. The switching frequency can be configured between 200kHz and 2MHz, making it suitable for high power applications. The output voltage is easily adjusted using an external resistor. The IC includes a thermal shutdown circuit that ensures safe operation of the IC when it is exposed to extreme temperatures.
