Working Principle

The MAX864EEE+ operates by using a synchronous rectified buck converter circuit. The switching frequency and duty cycle are fixed by an internal oscillator; however, the MAX864EEE+ can be synchronized to an external clock signal if needed. The MAX864EEE+ also features a dynamic power saving mode that provides the lowest quiescent current possible while still maintaining the output voltage regulation.
