The regulator also features thermal protection, which can be configured to shut down the device if the maximum safe operating temperature is exceeded.
The high-side MOSFET switch is used to control the current flow from the VOUT supply to the load. The switch is controlled by two pins: the Power Enable pin (EN) and the Control pin (CTL). When EN is low, the high-side MOSFET switch is disabled and the current does not flow. When EN is high, the switch is enabled and the current flows.
