The MAX9276GTN/V+GG6 is a high performance low power serializer, deserializer and jitter cleaner. This semi-integrated solution enables designers to build high speed, reliable serial data interfaces, reducing power consumption and cost. The serial data serdes interface can transfer data rates of up to 600 Mbps across 4 pairs of differential serial lines, allowing for robust, reliable transmission of critical signals. The serdes consists of two parts, a low-power serializer and a low-power deserializer. The MAX9276GTN/V+GG6 also includes a jitter cleaner that allows for improved noise immunity while receiving and transmitting data.
The serializer provides the differential input signal from a host device, such as a microprocessor, to the four differential outputs. It accepts exclusively differential input signals, including LVDS and HCSL, along with a differential clock. The differential output signals are LVDS, and their amplitude and rise/fall times can be controlled using configuration settings.
The deserializer accepts the four LVDS inputs and provides the differential reconstructed signal back to a host device. It can accept input signals with any frequency between 0.25 and 225 MHz and provides clock recovery, along with clock regeneration, if required. Additionally, the deserializer can accept standard deserialization, as well as data scrambler/descrambler and randomizer/derandomizer operations.
The jitter cleaner is designed to improve the reliability of critical signals. It enables the serializer or deserializer to provide synchronized input signals and provides immunity against jitter on the clock, eliminating errors or data loss.
The MAX9276GTN/V+GG6 requires a +3.3V supply and typically consumes 305 mW of power in active mode, and 37 mW of power in power down mode. It is available in a 13.6x10.6mm, 80-pin QFN package with standard 0.8mm ball pitch, allowing for easy integration and routing on PCBs.
